Sunday, April 23 @ 7:30 am Spring Migration on Whitaker Preserve with John Ehinger (1.5 hours / Easy walk in grasslands) The Land Trust of North Alabama is a preservation partner with The Nature Conservancy in Alabama and manages the trails the Roy B. Whitaker Paint Rock River Preserve and the Keel Mountain Preserve. Join John Ehinger on the Whitaker property (Alabama Birding Trail, Site 40) for a beautiful morning of grassland birding. Directions: Meet at Hardee’s in Gurley, 5972 Hwy 72 East Hwy 72, at 7:30 am. We’ll caravan up Highway 72 to the Whitaker Preserve.
